Summary: Shane’s return from the war in Iraq reunites the Kennedy family. Their happiness is short-lived as Cathy realizes battle scars are not always visible, and Shane struggles to reconcile his combat experiences in Iraq with the routine of suburban life. Shane’s undiagnosed Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) has him struggling with nightmares, flashbacks, and violent outbursts. Their love is pushed to its limits as Shane considers extreme measures to protect his wife and daughter and Cathy desperately tries to hold the family together while saving her husband from himself. Tragically they learn that Shane’s war did not end on a faraway battlefield… for him the war ends at home.
